Description

Vintage GBD pipe in full bent, shape #397.

GBD is one of the oldes pipe brands in Europe that started in 1850 as a multinational initiative by a Frenchman, a Swiss and an Englishman. By 1902 the firm was taken over by another Englishman and since it is considered as an English pipe maker. However, the production facilities remained mostly in Saint-Claude, France.

This nice, small bent pipe is a product from later times, the 1980’s. It has been smoked a few times, just to brake it in, but the state of conservation is just perfect. The fine redish finish gives this pipe a stylish outlook.
